He even participated in various regional competitions in the Lambada. In 2011 he moved to Germany and lived for several months in Stuttgart, one of the German birthplace of Forró, where he met the founder of "Forró de Domingo" Jiordano Terra Pasqualini. Since 2012 he lives in Frankfurt am Main and works with the Brazilian culture. Initially, Zadic taught Forró in a little circle of friends. The group grew bigger and bigger and therefore the idea was born to found a cultural association. At the beginning of 2013, Zadic founded the cultural association "Forró de Frankfurt". In 2016, Zadic became acquainted with the Forró veteran, Evandro Paz from São Paulo, one of the first Forró teachers worldwide. Zadic was immediately fascinated by his Forró style "Pe de serra das baladas de São Paulo" and began to take private lessons with Evandro Paz. Thibault Ferrand and Aurélie

As Thibault was a teenager, he was a judoka. He was really into fighting and into competition. As he came across forró in 2013 in Darmstadt/Germany, he was shocked to discover a very warm and welcoming international community dedicated to this dance and its cultural background. he got instantly addicted. After a short while, he started giving classes to support our group in Darmstadt. It was a great experiment and experience for him, as he grew up as a teacher, he could try many different approaches and many different dance styles. His martial arts background helped him a lot in understanding his own motion system, his balance and to spot his posture-related disabilities. As he could link more and more notions, he knew from his former passion with his practice of couple dances, he discovered a way of thinking, which was totally new to him, more co-operational, more focussed on his partner. Along the years, his teaching style evolved in a direction, that he could not really expect at the beginning. He s now convinced that your body, in fact anyone’s body, already “knows” how to move. After attending the course for dance teachers of Jaime Aroxa in Rio de Jaineiro in 2017 and 2018, he understood, that teaching dances was not only about dancing. It’s about interacting with others, with our own body and with our environment. It’s about feelings and passions. It’s about balance. The core of his work since then has been to point this idea out and make it obvious for whom decides to follow him. Questioning motion, questioning interactions between our bodies and our environment, we are trying to investigate the fundamental motion system of our bodies and isolate the perturbations from our cognition system. Dancing doesn’t cost energy. It doesn’t hurt. It cures. As long as you dance with your body and not against it. He had the chance to take part in many projects all over Europe in the past few years, from forró festivals to contemporary dance congresses. He could teach in many places and meet many great professionals. He lives in Paris now. He works as a technology teacher in an engineering school and as a consquence his time as a forró teacher is extremely reduced. In 2019, besides being the first European who ever gave a class in Itaúnas/ES, he had the chance to be invited for an amazing workshop in Petropolis/RJ, organized with the group os imporvaveis. He is very thankful to be programmed as a teacher at the Frankfurt forró fest 2019 with his partner Aurélie.

Milena and Philipp

Milena and Philipp, Brazil and Switzerland, two cultures meet trough Forró. Their partnership started 1 ½ year ago, when they started dancing, studying, working and teaching together. They led workshops at major festivals across Europe and worldwide: Basel, Zürich (Rootstock Europa), New York, just to mention a few. For them, dancing, is the art of self expression through music and technic. It's all about establishing a dialog and a joyful conversation. That's why they don't like identifying themselves uniquely to any specific Forró style, they like them all! Because the broader your knowledge, the more possibilities of self-expression you have. Milena is a Brazilian folk dancer, born in Olinda, Pernambuco Brazil. She was born a dancer and since childhood she danced Frevo, Côco, Caboclinho, Carimbó and of course, Forró. When she moved to Geneva-Switzerland, she founded 'Forró de Genebra', where she taught for 6 years. Philipp is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teacher. He started dancing Forró in 2008, when he was studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Rio de Janeiro. He returned to Europe after 6 years with a black belt and the desire of sharing his knowledge and passion for the art. Back in Europe, he continued studying Forró, making the most of the great lessons of teachers visiting and living in Europe. In 2018 he funded 'Forró dos Alpes' (Brunnen – Switzerland), the first forró group in the Alps!
